TEACHER TRAINING COURSE: NAAD YOGA FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Feelings and emotions are essential to human nature. How are those feelings developed, though, and what effects do they cause?
Our mind produces feelings and thoughts relentlessly so frustrations can be compensated for and wishes fulfilled.
This way, the mind dictates our life to us in an inappropriate way.
So we can achieve an emotional and mental balance, it is necessary for us to liberate ourselves from the dictatorship
of wandering thoughts and emotions. This applies to children and adults equally.
Both the implementation of the methods of Naad Yoga as well as the form of address need to be age-appropriate in order to reach children and young people.
The creativity of the teacher is a key element of each lesson.
This means having a sense of where the children are, following their impulses and guiding them in a way that is, in turn, guided by fun and love.
In Astrid Lindgren’s writings, I came upon what is, to me, an account of a successful Naad Yoga unit:
A GOOD BOOK HAS GOT TO BE LIKE A PIKE. A POINTED, SHARP NOSE, FOLLOWED BY A TASTY
MIDSECTION AND FINALLY A RAPIDLY SLAPPING TAIL. (ASTRID LINDGREN)
